The Air Canada brand at their hub location at the Toronto Pearson International Airport, in Toronto, Canada served as the vehicle to design a complex for Air Canada. First research was conducted on the existing airport and terminal to find the premiere location for the volume. We also looked into the history of the Air Canada brand and Canada's nature in order to derive inspiration. This research was then implemented into the design of the Air Canada lounge, hotel, spa, workspace, and restaurant and bar within Terminal 1 of the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Air Canada's suites were influenced by Canada's natural curves found in glaciers and Niagara Falls. The custom bed has storage underneath for traveler's suitcases. The custom bed also has Air Canada red lighting that is emitted from underneath onto the floors below giving the space a fun edge.
The Air Canada first class lounge is used for travelers to relax and recuperate. Viewers are able to look out onto the airfield as they spend time in a space that speaks to Air Canada's branding.
Air Canada Main Lobby & Reception serves as a warm welcome to travelers when they first enter the Air Canada complex.
